Winning the Frans Masereel Award gave me the opportunity to work as an artist in residence at the graphic art center in Kasterlee (BE). For Space and Surface Matter I joined forces with graphic artist Jore Dierckx. We explored the possibilities of the photographic image, specifically on different surfaces and spatial content, textures and dimension.

We reworked these elements to a condensed 3 layer screen print on paper, researching the tension between the abstract and the organic.
